The Mission Mop Story

The Mission Mop is a product of East Shore Industries, Inc. and is the first product developed for household use.

East Shore Industries, Inc. is a nonprofit (501c3) rehabilitation center that offers programs for individuals with various disabilities, including, but not limited to: mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, other neurological disorders (developmental disabilities), emotional illness and/or brain trauma. East Shore Industries, Inc. also serves individuals whose primary disability is alcoholism or other drug dependencies.

In 1981 East Shore Industries, Inc. acquired Algoma Mop Manufacturers. "Working to make a difference" is the standard that Algoma Mop Manufacturers has embraced with pride since its inception in 1926. The company is the state's largest commercial mop manufacturer, producing over 200 types of mops - many of which are customized to customer specifications. 

The employees of Algoma Mop Manufacturers are clients of East Shore Industries, Inc. This company helps individuals overcome barriers to work and modifies work stations allowing them to perform job tasks. The company credits its employees with putting the company on the map - earning nationwide contracts and producing products that are known for their excellent quality.
